Private Eye (Liaisons #1)

Private Eye (Liaisons #1) - S.E. Culpepper I am picky about the whole gay x straight thing because... I don't know. Isn't it more just a "one has a closet to acknowledge" kind of thing?

And I've lost count of how many times it's been treated as a "gay for you" situation. Come on, now. Really?

Also, I guess it's because in my limited experience with this book genre, authors tend to go to one extreme or the other with coming out when it's serious stuff. That's a big moment, or should be, so it's a tricky area. I am the type that gets twitchy with (most) heavy emotional stuff. I like my romance characters happy but I also like realism so it's a conflicting feeling. Lol.

Anyways, I was probably wearing a "yikes" face in preparation while reading those parts, but I mostly survived. Whew.

I don't like the detective's parents, though, for sure. >:(

It's a good story. I was a little upset at both characters at different parts of the story, but that just means the drama works.

So yeah. Read it.
